RIDING LESSONS

Lessons are held on weekday mornings , afternoons and Saturday mornings. Adults and children are catered for and family groups are welcome. Riders are taught to ride correctly on safe, experienced horses and ponies in a non-competitive atmosphere.

All beginner riders start with private lunge lessons where they develop an independent seat so that they are able to ride without needing to hold onto the saddle or use the rins to balance themselves, and then progress to small group lessons with other riders of a similar standard and age group, where they learn to canter and eventually learn to jump if they would like to.

New clients who can already ride will have one assesment lesson before a regular spot is agreed on. Outrides are also offered as a change to the regular lesson in the ring or arena. Most people ride once a week but some ride twice a week and the really keen are welcome to ride more often.

Pony camps are held in the holidays and are a great way to keep your kids busy and having fun outdoors!Camps are usually held from Monday to Thursday, 9:00 - 4:30 on the first three days and 9:00-12:00 on the last day. Children ride at least twice per day (one lesson and one outride) and learn how to take care of the ponies as well as participating in lots of other fun activities, lectures etc. Lunch and snacks are also provided. Parents are invited to watch a gymkhana show in prize giving on the last day.
